About the Journal
“Nowa Medycyna” has been published for more than ten years. The effect of the many years of the work of the editorial board and the indicator of the estimation of the journal is its presence on the list of journals – Index Copernicus. The note of “Nowa Medycyna” on the list is constantly improving. In 2023 “Nowa Medycyna” received 20 educational points from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The journal is the official publication of the Polish Club of Coloproctology.
The high scientific standards of the journal are overseen by the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief: Professor Małgorzata Kołodziejczak, Head of the Warsaw Proctology Centre at St. Elizabeth Hospital – Mokotów Medical Centre and Professor Krzysztof Bielecki, MD, PhD, an outstanding surgeon and a recognised authority in his field.
Since 2016, “Nowa Medycyna” has been published as a bilingual journal. Every article accepted for publication is published in both Polish and English, enabling the journal to reach a broad international audience.
The decision to publish a profiled edition concerning mainly proctology was a response to the existing need for a specialized journal that would at the same time offer an interdisciplinary review of issues related to proctology or issues that may affect patient management.
The editorial process is completed according to the Committee of Publication Ethics Code of Conduct.
The journal is preserved in the collections of the National Library of Poland and the Jagiellonian Library.
